I'm KanDoMusic, or just Kan. It rhymes with Chopin.As the name indicates, I'm a freelance music composer. I specialise in orchestral instrumentations and soundtracks that sound straight out of an RPG or visual novel. I love how music can be used as a storytelling device, which inspires me to do the same in my own music.I also dabble in developing video games with the stories I wish to tell (which will appear eventually) and making fan merchandise for the stories that inspire me to do so. So I guess I also Can Do other things now...which is a pun that doesn't fit because it's not pronounced like that in the first place......

FAQ

Q: What do I need to request a commission?
Just 2 things:
- Approximate length.
- A description of what you're looking for. This can be the style you desire (8-bit, classical) or general vibes/emotions you want for it. For commissions on character/setting/battle themes, any information that helps me understand the subject is good.Q: How is payment done?
Payment will be done upfront and proceeded via Paypal.Q: What about sheet music?

Terms of Service (T.O.S.)

By commissioning me, you are agreeing to these terms of service.

General Commission Terms

  • T.O.S. and Prices are subject to change at any time. All clients are subjected to the T.O.S. and prices displayed at the time of the commission order’s transaction.

  • I reserve the right to reject any commission request I'm not comfortable with.

  • Updates on the commission will be sent to the client.

Rights and Credits

  • Commissions are not for commercial use unless I give explicit permission in writing. If you would like to use your commission for commercial use, please let it be known in your commission request. Note that commercial commissions will have additional charges.

  • I own all rights to the commissions by default. Rights to my music will be an additional, negotiable price.

  • The commissioned work can be posted so long as proper credit to KanDoMusic is given. This must be done irregardless of who owns the rights to the track.

  • Commissions cannot be sold as NFTs nor through any cryptocurrency.

Commission Process

  • If I am not familiar with the genre/music style requested, I will let the client know.

  • Requests for minor modifications of the commissioned work are free of charge. This includes request to remove or add a specific section, asking "could it sound a bit more like <insert description>?", adjustments in volume, minor instrumentation changes, etc.]

  • You are entitled to 1 major modification free of charge, drastic changes to music style, length, significant changes to your initial commission request] Further major modifications may incur an additional fee up to 50% charge. If the changes are happening because I misunderstood something, I will waive the policy.

  • If you change your mind about your commission before I start on the second draft, you are entitled to 100% refund. Afterwards, no refunds will be given.
